Refund policy

Unokuhle Services (Pty) Ltd is committed to fair and transparent business practices. This Return & Refund Policy is in accordance with the Consumer Protection Act 68 of 2008 and applicable South African e-commerce laws.

This policy explains the conditions under which products or rental equipment may be returned and when refunds may be issued.


2. Returns for Defective or Incorrect Items

Customers may return goods if:

  • The item is defective

  • The item is damaged on delivery

  • The item does not match the description

  • The item is not suitable for the intended purpose

In such cases, the customer may request:

  • Repair

  • Replacement

  • Refund

Returns must be reported within 6 months of delivery as required by the Consumer Protection Act.


3. Cooling-Off Period for Online Orders

For purchases made online, customers may cancel the order within 7 days after delivery without penalty, provided that:

  • The item is unused

  • The item is in original condition

  • The item is returned with original packaging

Return shipping costs may be charged to the customer unless the product is defective.


4. Rental Equipment Returns

For equipment rentals (scaffolding, TLB, tipper truck, tools, etc.):

  • Equipment must be returned in the same condition as received

  • Damage, loss, or excessive wear may result in additional charges

  • No refund will be issued once the rental period has started unless equipment is faulty

  • Early return does not automatically qualify for refund unless agreed in writing


5. Non-Returnable Items

The following may not be returned unless defective:

  • Custom manufactured items

  • Special order equipment

  • Used consumables

  • Services already completed

  • Transport or delivery fees


6. Refund Processing

If a refund is approved:

  • Refunds will be processed within 7–14 business days

  • Refund will be made using the original payment method

  • Cash refunds will only be given where required by law

8. Legal Compliance

This policy is subject to the Consumer Protection Act 68 of 2008 and other applicable South African laws. Where the law gives the customer more rights, the law will apply.
